NMR
Biofluids are particularly well suited to NMR analysis since little or no sample preparation is required prior to analysis.
This technique is useful for quick and accurate analysis of biological samples:
- Ideal for rapid metabolite profiling
- Allows the quantification of metabolites
- However, the method is not as sensitive as GC-MS or LC-MS techniques
NMR technology is routinely used in the medical field as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
